Dr. David Samadi Pioneers Advanced Surgery and Treatment Methods for Prostate Cancer

Dr. David Samadi lives an amazing life. Contribute that to a thorough education, intelligence, and a desire to make an impact in the world. Dr. David Samadi currently serves at Lenox Hill Hospital as the Chief of Robotic Surgery. He has achieved an array of goals during his medical career, and there are no signs of his slowing down. To date, he has performed medical operations in over 40 countries. His forte is surgical robotics in treating cancer for prostate cancer. His treatments and procedures help to reduce the, often, harmful side effects of standard cancer treatment.

There are many things that contribute to his success. His journey began as a young boy where he longed to help others. He envisioned becoming a doctor. He is also lucky enough to have grown up in an era of advancing robotics where he developed an acute fascination for the science. However, Dr. David Samadi did not start out thinking about the financial success his profession would bring. He cares deeply about his patients and bringing a breakthrough science to the world. This is the passion that drives him.

Success, however, does sometimes follow breakthroughs. He began his career using the standard medical treatment methods to address prostate cancer. His discovery of laparoscopic technology, pioneered by French urologists, gave him the ideas for his breakthrough discovery. He also gained a great deal of experience working with robotics. These skills served him well on his return back to America where he has put his talents and knowledge to good use.

Dr. David Samadi understands the benefits of exercise and relaxation as well. He starts each day with breathing exercises. This helps him to avoid the stress. Backgammon and tennis also provide a break from his busy schedule. He reaches his office early each morning, and performs medical procedures during the late morning and afternoon. He also sets aside time each day to speak with each of his patients.

One might say he has excellent bedside manners. In 1990, he graduated from the Stony Brook School of Medicine with honors. He also attended the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in 1966, and the Montefiore Medical center in 2000. His training is extensive, which enhances his ability to make a lasting impact in the world.
